As we wrap up National Volunteer Week, we wanted to say thank you to this amazing group from Lubbock Christian University that came to volunteer last week as part of LCU for LBK! LCU partnered with the Volunteer Center of Lubbock to serve multiple non-profits in Lubbock. Caleb’s Closet is honored to be chosen as one of those organizations. This group helped sort all of the amazing donations that have come in recently. Thank you volunteers!

Thank you for your continued support!
This year for their birthdays, Jada (7) and Shepard (6) asked their friends for new socks and underwear to give to kids in foster care. This was extra special as Jada was adopted from foster care herself! What an amazing way to give back to a cause that’s important to them.
Happy birthday Jada and Shepard!
Summer’s coming and we need your warm weather clothes! We currently have an urgent need for girls sizes 3T – 7 and teen clothing in all sizes for both boys and girls. We accept new and gently used school appropriate clothing.
As part of our mission to restore dignity to children in the foster community, we kindly ask that donated items are not stained or torn. We also ask that donated items are things a child 18 or under would wear. We ask that adult sized clothing be teen appropriate.
Donations can be dropped off at Lubbock Baptist Temple at 3215 60th St in the brown bins under the east awning. Thanks for your continued support!
This weekend we held our first Foster Family Event of 2021. We served 81 families for a total of 444 people!
At these events, foster and kinship parents can select clothes, shoes and other necessities for their family. These items are provided for free through your generous donations. As we transition into Spring, this event allowed families to stock up on warm weather clothing.
Families also received a Shoe Carnival coupon to help them purchase new shoes. Special thanks to Broadway Church of Christ and their amazing facility crew, Lubbock Baptist Temple and Affordable Storage Lubbock for your generous support to our foster care community. Thank you to all of our volunteers from Texas Tech and the foster community that came to help make this event possible!
